More than a dozen masked suspects dressed in black launched a coordinated assault on the ICE Prairieland Detention Facility in Alvarado, Texas on July 4th weekend – shooting a police officer and attempting to breach federal immigration infrastructure.
The attack: Fireworks, damaged vehicles, destroyed security cameras, and gunfire targeting law enforcement
The result: One officer shot and hospitalized, multiple arrests of armed militants wearing body armor
The message: This was planned domestic terrorism against immigration enforcement
The Coordinated Lure-and-Attack Strategy
This wasn’t random violence – this was tactical terrorism:
Step 1: Launch fireworks and damage property “in an apparent effort to lure law enforcement”
Step 2: Position armed suspects with body armor around the facility
Step 3: When police respond, “multiple suspects opened fire on the Officer”

“Officers responded to the scene and observed a suspicious person that appeared to be carrying a firearm. As the first responding officer attempted to engage the person, multiple suspects opened fire on the Officer.”
